L&B Optima II Audible Altimeter

The L&B Optima II is an advanced audible skydiving altimeter designed to provide highly accurate altitude awareness throughout every stage of a jump. Alongside standard altitude warnings, the Optima II features an additional configurable warning system that can be set for specific altitudes during normal flight and high-speed landing approaches.

This additional warning feature can be particularly useful for swoopers and pilots looking for a consistent altitude reference when preparing landing sequences. However, visual awareness, judgement and experience should always remain the primary factors when planning landing approaches.

The Optima II includes a range of customisable features:

• Three selectable warning altitudes

• First and second warnings use different pulsating tones

• Third warning uses a high-pitched siren

• Choose between 1, 2 or 3 active warnings

• Adjustable warning alarm volume

• Separate volume controls for freefall and canopy flight

• Four memory banks for different warning configurations

• Dedicated swoop warning bank with a unique sequence of beeps to assist with entering an optimum swoop corridor

• Seven selectable warning pitch levels

Design & Settings

The Optima II features a slim, ergonomic curved design with a durable rubberised coating for protection and comfort. The LCD display allows simple and intuitive operation.

• Altitude adjustment for dropzones with different elevations from the airport

• Feet/metre selection

• 10 ft altitude adjustment intervals

• Displays current altitude during climb

• Built-in clock
